The Digital Media Lab (DML) is located in 210 Barret. Multimedia software is available on all computers located in the area (inside 210 as well as the open area outside the glass doors). The Digital Media Lab follows the same hours as Barret Library hours.
Projects in the DML range from Photoshop editing to editing and rendering video (Adobe Premiere) to advanced audio editing (Audacity). Equipment available for checkout from the Media Center is compatible with the equipment in the DML.
Large Format Printer
The printer, a large format printer used for printing graphics and posters, is located in the DML. The printer is available to all users with a Rhodes network login.
- Printing cost is $3.50 per linear foot (the paper is 2 feet wide).
- Cost of printing is deducted via the Papercut system.
- Typical posters are 3x2 which is $10.50.
Advance notice is needed when students are to be authorized to print to a departmental account. Department representatives should email the Helpdesk in advance and provide the names and email addresses of the individuals who will be using the printer and the account number to charge. When printing, the individuals will then choose the program/department from the Papercut list (i.e., Mock Trial, Biology, etc.), and their personal printing account will not be charged. Printing charges will be made via a journal entry.
