I would enjoy listening to their hopes and dreams and advising.

California

Alyssa Browning ’97
Cardiologist (echocardiography fellow) - University of California (Davis and San Francisco)
Walnut Creek
Informational Interview
Note: I can offer an informational interview and give a brief tour of UC San Francisco. Previously I worked for 4 years with UC Davis Health System, and I may be able to arrange for something at UC Davis Medical Center as well (but it's in Sacramento which is 1.5-2 hours away so the student would need a car). The UC Davis faculty and med center tends to be less formal and are more friendly, in general. This is probably best for a student who already lives in N. California. My husband also works for Roche, in Pleasanton, CA, as a "clinical science lead" for oncology. I can probably arrange an information interview with him as well (or instead). He is an MD/PhD, an oncologist by trade, but his job now has more to do with business and advising the business people about what scientific projects to pursue.

Elizabeth Cunningham ’10
Doctor of Nursing Practice: Child Psychiatry- Kedren Community Health Center
Los Angeles
Informational Interview
2 opportunities

JoAnna Halk ’09
Assistant Director-Stanford University
Palo Alto
Informational Interview, Shadow Opportunity, Winter Externship, Other (resume review, mock interview, etc.)
2 opportunities
Note: In my current role, I do a lot of interviewing for senior level candidates. I've picked up quite a bit of knowledge about applying for and interviewing for jobs. Happy to review resumes or host a mock interview. Stanford observes a Winter Shutdown, so the only days we'd be available to shadow is December 18-22, 2017. Also, it starts to get much quieter on campus that week - so I can't guarantee a super exciting shadow opportunity - but will try my best!  I'd also be happy to do an informational interview with a student at anytime during the break. I think I'd be a good fit for a student interested in higher-education, international development and/or non-profit work.
