Curb: Program Manager RSA

General Description

The Curb Institute Program Manager RSA works directly with the Director of the Curb Institute to help coordinate and manage both the daily operations as well as the planning and strategic development of the Mike Curb Institute for Music. The Curb Program Manager will assist Curb Faculty Fellowship Advisors and Curb Fellow Project Leaders to plan, execute, and assess new and existing projects. The RSA will also help manage the scheduling for the institute, including meetings, student office hours, and the use of Curb-specific spaces (Harris Lodge and 1034 Audubon Drive). The position will serve as a student point person for the program when coordinating events and discussions with Rhodes offices, departments, and organizations, as well as community partners.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and manage scheduling for the institute including:
    1. Meetings for full institute, project leaders, and project teams.
    2. Scheduling Fellow work hours (office hours and project hours)
    3. Curb-specific spaces (Harris Lodge and 1034 Audubon Drive)
  2. Meet regularly with Curb Faculty Fellowship Advisors and Curb Fellow Project Leaders to assist with project management for institute projects and events.
  3. Meet regularly with Curb Institute Director to help manage daily operations and discuss opportunities for development.
  4. Serve as point of contact for the program with on and off campus constituents.
  5. Assist with recruitment for the program with current and prospective students.
  6. Participate in Curb Institute projects based on area of interest!

 

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Must be a current Curb Fellow.
  2. Connections to and/or interest in the local Memphis and/or campus music and creativity scene(s).
  3. Ability to work independently to create and reach their own goals within the institute as well as an interest in working collaboratively across institute areas to further the mission of the Curb Institute. 
  4. Passion about expanding the Curb Institute to support local Memphis creatives, artists, and musicians.
