Student Life: RSA for Student Leadership Education

The RSA for the Leadership Office will assist by researching, developing, administering, and assessing a broad array of student leadership development and educational programs.

General Description of Position: Specific student associate responsibilities, job requirements, and as much information regarding the scope of the job as you can provide.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Meet with student leaders (including Student Leader App and Student leader Org presidents to provide leadership development opportunities and assessments.
  • Host the Red & Black Student Leaders Ball for student organization collaboration and training.
  • Facilitate programs hosted by the Student Activities and Leadership Team.
  • Develop various passive programming on campus to educate the student body around leadership best practices.
  • Work with the Director of Student Leadership on the Sophomore Leadership Institute
  • Assist the S’MORES committee in furthering sophomore initiatives
  • Direct student leadership training for applicants of the student leader application.
  • Recruit students to participate in campus wide student leader programs and initiatives.
  • Providing professional development seminars to student leaders.
  • Work on marketing and public relations for student leader related programs and office.
  • Collaborate with other RSAs in Student Development & Academic Services.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Willingness to work some night and weekend hours
  • Desire for innovation and creativity in the work
  • Proficiency in computer software including, Microsoft, GoogleDocs, and social media.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to Detail
  • Work in fast pace environment
  • Enjoy having fun while working
