Student Health Center
The Rhodes College Student Health Center is located in the Moore Moore Wellness Center with the main entrance on the east side of the building along Thomas Lane. Handicap access is available on the south side of the Student Health Center, closest to the Refectory.
Students can seek advice and treatment for a wide range of medical needs, such as strep, flu, treatment of ENT infections, and some in-house lab work, as well as to obtain a prescription.

During open hours, the registered nurse and Nurse Practitioner are available for scheduled appointments to assist with your health care needs.

After-hours assistance
After hours, contact Campus Safety (901-843-3880) for assistance. Acute illnesses and emergency accidents can be treated after hours at off-campus facilities.

Payment
There is no charge for clinical visits. However, a fee for vaccines/immunizations offered at the Student Health Center, and any services requiring an outside entity, such as blood work, are billed to the student’s health insurance.
Advanced laboratory tests will be billed to your insurance by American Esoteric Laboratories (AEL).You and/or your parents are responsible for charges not covered by your insurance for off-campus medical services.
Allergy Shots
Available: by appointment, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (closed Noon - 1 p.m. daily)
*Please note that there will be a wait time of 30 minutes in the office after receiving injections, to ensure there are no adverse reactions.
Requirements: Your allergy provider would need to send your allergy serums, administration orders, injection protocol, and last provider visit to the student health center. Once all items have been received and verified by the Nurse Practitioner, you may begin receiving your injections. Flu Shots
Flu shots will be available for students from late October through February 2025 during regular business hours while supplies last.
