The Staff Professional Development Committee (SPDC) strives to champion learning opportunities for staff that enhance current responsibilities and promote overall professional growth. We believe Rhodes is a most desirable place to work when all of its employees are highly trained in their daily responsibilities and possess transferable skills. Through workshops, trainings, and resources, the SPDC coordinates opportunities for overall skill development.
Given the variety of staff roles and responsibilities, this committee also advocates to improve communication around college policies and procedures. The SPDC seeks to use the knowledge and resources of both current and external community members to create educational events. Our aim is to offer opportunities that are diverse in content and accessible given staff schedules.
