General Description of Position: 

Students awarded a position in the Department of Greek and Roman Studies will have the opportunity to learn workplace skills while contributing to a diverse, multilingual atmosphere. Basic duties include but are not limited to: copying, scanning, library acquisitions, sorting of department mail deliveries, assisting with promotion of events (e.g. helping to create flyers), assisting with faculty research (e.g.  proofreading and compilation of relevant bibliography) maintaining department spaces, and various special projects.  

 

Assistants in GRS regularly attend departmental meetings as student representatives.  They must provide a professional level of service to all faculty members and office visitors.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated interest in ancient Greek and Roman cultures, Greek and Latin languages

Physical Demands: 

Light physical activity
