ONSITE PANTRY PARTNER

Mid-South Food Bank works with a network of Partner Agencies in 31 counties in West TN, North MS, and East AR. Agencies include 501 (c)(3) organizations like food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, youth programs, senior programs, and more.  Partner agrees to offer food to consumers free of charge at an approved location to combat hunger and food insecurity in their respective county. Partner agrees to record all distributions and adhere to best practices for food safety.

General Requirements:

  • Annual Renewal: Agency membership must be renewed annually.
  • Non-Discrimination: Agencies must not discriminate based on race, color, citizenship, religion, gender, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, or military status.

Partner Agency Expectations:

  • Food Orders: Order food items at least once per month.
  • Reporting: Submit monthly reports by the 5th of each month.
  • Training: Complete required agency orientation, site inspections, and food safety training.
  • Signage: Display required signage to promote the partnership with Mid-South Food Bank.
  • Onsite Pantry Partner: Offer food at an approved location, record distributions, and adhere to food safety practices.

Compliance and Monitoring:

  • Inspections: Allow Mid-South Food Bank staff to conduct monitoring inspections and site visits.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain written records for at least seven years.
  • Product Use: Distribute food and non-food items at no charge and avoid selling or bartering items.
