General Description of Position:

 

The Student Associate assists the Director of Golden Lynx Programming in planning and executing reunions and other programming for alumni who graduated from the college at least 50 years ago.  This includes all communications with the 50th reunion class and assisting with all aspects of the reunion, including events, fundraising, and logistics. The Student Associate also assists with occasional off-campus events (for example, an annual reunion for our alumni living at Trezevant Manor retirement community).

The Student Associate also works with the Director of Golden Lynx Programming to develop, enhance, and maintain the information on the college’s planned giving website.

Additional responsibilities include monitoring the status of the college’s portfolio of life insurance policies and maintaining a report of the value, ownership, premium status, and benefits for each policy.

Minimum Qualifications

 

Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills (particularly the ability to relate well to older alumni)

Computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Physical Demands:

 

Some minor lifting and stair-climbing is necessary in connection with setting up for Homecoming/Reunion weekend, but it is minor and accommodations will be made if needed
