Job Description |
Digital Assets Specialist work with the Digital Preservation and Scholarship team in Information Services on digital projects. These include projects emanating from the College Archives as well as Memphis Center programs such as the Crossroads the Freedom Digital Archive and Curb Institute projects. Digital Assets Specialist responsibilities may combine community outreach and education with more technical aspects of creating and maintaining a digital library of primary resources and related tools for using these resources for teaching and learning. The primary responsibilities of the students in these positions are project and workflow management and collection and processing of a wide variety of digital assets. Student workers will contribute to other aspects of the project as needed, including (1) technical work (training will be provided) (2) research and data gathering (including participating in interviews) (3) organizational and coordination work. Digital Assets specialists may work with the Systems Analysts (Systems and Development Team) who will be focused on software development aspects of the projects.
