Pay rate: 8.25 - 8.85 per hour
Purpose: We are seeking a Student Assistant to help with the Office of Prevention and Well-being Education. This student would collaborate with a variety of offices and student groups to provide an array of educational activities to the campus community.
Primarily reporting to the Director of the Office of Prevention and Well-being Education, the SA would:
· Help design and implement educational materials (Ex: social media posts, social norms campaigns, program materials) related to interpersonal violence, hazing, bystander intervention, alcohol and other drug prevention, and general well-being as well as coordinate distribution of messages across campus
· Design and Distribute posters, flyers, and handouts related to interpersonal violence, hazing, bystander intervention, alcohol and other drug prevention, and general well-being
· Assist in planning, promoting, and staffing for awareness months and weeks (Ex: Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Stalking Awareness Month, Hazing Prevention Week, Healthy Relationships Week, Sexual Assault Awareness Month)
· Develop pop-up events with engaging activities and giveaways
· Participate in committee work related to well-being
· Survey peer intuitions regarding prevention efforts and programs related to interpersonal violence, hazing, bystander intervention, alcohol and other drug prevention, and general well-being
This position will advance the College’s efforts on providing prevention and well-being education. This position is vital to increasing students voices and support of prevention and well-being education and programming on campus.
This position would have an opportunity to work with staff from the Athletics, Campus Safety, Office of the Chaplain, Office of Residence Life, Office of Community Standards, Office of Student Engagement, Office of Student Transitions, Student Counseling Center, Student Health Center, and Title IX.
