Art Department -- Studio Assistant

Pay rate: 8.25 - 8.85


General Description of Position: 

The studio assistant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art studios located in Clough Hall. This position responds to the requests of the studio art faculty and the visual resources curator and is responsible for a variety of tasks including preparing studios for classes, organizing and inventorying supplies, assisting with EPA compliance and safety procedures, photographing and handling student artwork, circulating digital equipment, and other duties as requested by faculty.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience working in art studios preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Art majors and minors are preferred.  Should be good at working independently and have excellent organization and communication skills.

Physical Demands:

Student will be required to lift and move materials, equipment and artwork. Student will be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
