General Description of the Position:

Assist the College Events Department to plan and set up for a variety of college events such as lectures, receptions, academic convocations and graduation ceremonies. Some events will require student to dress in a professional manner and meet the public. The student will get wide exposure to college history and opportunities to meet a broad spectrum of the campus community. The College Events Office works with every department on campus community: President's Office, Academics, Administrative, Athletics, Physical Plant, and Campus Safety, providing a "behind the scenes" look into college life. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Prefer to be available to stay in Memphis through graduation on May 15, 2023. Must be willing and able to drive a golf cart. 

Physical Demands: 

Although the work setting is primarily indoors, student must be able to work outdoors if required by the event. Physical requirements include lifting and carrying moderately heavy signs and boxes.
