General Description of Position:
Perform a variety of tasks to support the physics curriculum and program in general. These tasks may include; serving as a lab assistant or peer tutor, maintaining teaching laboratory equipment, developing new teaching laboratory experiments, organizing and coordinating observatory events, sorting and repairing lecture demonstrations, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
Have successfully completed Physics 211 and 213.
Preferred Qualifications
A junior or senior physics major with excellent laboratory skills, good communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a level of maturity that will ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Physical Demands:
Physics RSAPs work with physics laboratory equipment, which varies in weight and maneuverability. If a student in the position has difficulty with certain duties, the duties will be restructured.
