General Description of Position: Specific student associate responsibilities, job requirements, and as much information regarding the scope of the job as you can provide.
The Event Management & Leadership Coordinator is responsible for promoting general interest, community, and engagement within the student employment and RSA programs on campus.
Event Management
- Organize RSAP Information sessions
- Organize RSAP New Hire Seminars
- Plan and host events for student employees such as the RSAP Study Break, Student Employee Appreciation Week, etc.
- Create marketing materials to promote RSAP including designing the annual RSAP t-shirt
- Coordinate the selection of Student Employee, Rhodes Student Associate, and Supervisor of the Year
Leadership
- Plan the annual RSAP Committee Meeting
- Enforce the RSAP seminar requirement
- Organize and approve seminars
- Monitor seminar attendance
- Coordinate student committees amongst RSAs when the need arises
- Send email updates to RSAs and their supervisors when necessary
- Write the annual President’s letter on the state of RSAP
General Tasks
- Answer tickets on TopDesk
- Day-to-day communication with students and supervisors
- Attend RSAP Coordinator group planning meetings
- Update student and supervisor handbooks as needed
Minimum Qualifications
- Excel
- Organized
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, supervisors, campus departments, and vendors
- Ability to work efficiently independently and with a team
- Display initiative in the workplace (starting projects independently, keep up to date on the timeline, think about ways to make the program more engaging and successful, etc.)
