| Job Description | Barret Library Help Desk Employees respond to all inquiries that come across the Desk. They answer and transfer phone calls, take walk-up questions, submit tickets for patrons, provide first-tier tech support to their ability, and maintain library-monitored printhub locations for neatness, supplies, and maintenance. Other tasks include checking library materials in and out, re-shelving items, conducting stacks maintenance, participating in Information Services special projects, and other tasks as assigned. Student employees must also adhere to policy and law regarding confidentiality of patron records. This position staffs the Desk at assigned shifts during all library hours. |

| Physical Demand | Ability to stand for an extended period of time, bend, ability to push loaded book carts and/or shift shelves of books. |
