Multi-factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA, also known as two-factor authentication, is an IT security technique to protect your login credentials from theft by requiring two factors at login: 1 – Something you know (your password) and 2 – Something you have (a device). At Rhodes we use OneLogin Protect MFA to protect Rhodes technology users’ login credentials.

What is OneLogin Protect?
It is a free app for your personal mobile phone that will provide a two-step login process for email and other online resources at Rhodes. It provides an extra level of protection (multi-factor) for your Rhodes access. We also have options for those who do not have smartphones.

Is it required?
Yes. It is required of everyone with a Rhodes login ID - all faculty, staff, and students.
