After working as a medical assistant and Arabic medical interpreter at a free clinic that serves hundreds of immigrants and refugees, I realized how important it is for patients to have someone who understands both their language and their culture.

I'm interested in lifelong learning as well as helping my community in any way I can. Medicine combines both patient care and cutting-edge research, and it couldn't be more fascinating to me!

My shadowing and clinical experiences demonstrated how much I wanted to dedicate my life to what I saw other physicians and doctors doing. The ability to connect with patients to create a plan that benefits them was truly incredible and solidified my passion for medicine.

I enjoy learning about the human body and understanding how diseases affect overall health. I also have a deep passion for health equity and how one’s health outcomes are heavily influenced by factors outside the body, such as systemic barriers and socioeconomic conditions.

I fell in love with dentistry because not only would I be able to work with my hands and perform procedures, but I'd also get to know patients over time.

I have always wanted a career that helps others. Throughout my life, I have also always been intrigued by how complex the body is. I recognized that I could combine my desire to help others and my curiosity into a career that I am passionate about.

I have always wanted a career where I could combine my passion for science with helping others. Through shadowing physicians, conducting research, and gaining clinical experience, I have been able to connect with patients in their most vulnerable moments while continuously learning from healthcare providers. I find the medical field to be one of the most fulfilling, as it allows me to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives while continually growing academically and personally.

I have always been interested in medicine and healthcare. My pre-med experiences and interactions with physicians were crucial in helping me choose to continue as a pre-med student.

I really enjoy building meaningful connections with people and learning about their experiences. I want to be able to combine that with my interest in science to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while recognizing how someone's background and life experiences can impact their health.

I chose the physician assistant path because it combines science, patient care, teamwork, and flexibility. I value the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. I also appreciate that PAs can work in different specialties throughout their careers.
