HPA Academic Internships
The Office of Career & Professional Development has a new process for priority placement in HPA Academic Internships.
- First, you will complete the Rhodes Ready: HPA Academic Internship Information Video and Quiz Module.

Church Health Internships
- An internship at Church Health is a great opportunity to gain relevant experience in a variety of health care fields.
- Service areas include medical, optometry, dental, nutrition, and wellness for children and families.
- It is a semester-long internship working 8-10 hours/week, and you can earn academic credits.
- Applications for the Spring Internships are due October 20th.

St. Jude: STEMM Education and Outreach Spring Internship
- Their goal is to expand K-16 science access and help diverse students visualize futures in STEMM fields
- Interns facilitate St. Jude Afterschool STEMM Clubs and Community Health Clubs at local elementary and middle schools.

Summer Opportunities
Rhodes Summer Plus Fellowship
- An in-depth research experience for 12-15 months, partnering with either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or UTHSC.
- Participants receive a stipend for their summer work and academic credit for their work during the school year.
- Summer Plus Application Deadline: Nov. 15. Application portal opens Oct. 15.
UTHS: HCOP Pre-Matriculation Summer Program
This transformative four-week summer program is designed to support undergraduate students who aspire to pursue:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Health Informatics & Information Management
- Pathologists’ Assistant
- Cytopathology/Histotechnology
- Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology

Lewis Scholars IMHOTEP Project
- The Lewis Scholars' Imhotep Project is an 11-week summer internship program designed to build students' knowledge and skills in biostatistics, epidemiology, and occupational safety and health.
- This competitive national internship aims to prepare underrepresented minority students for graduate programs and long-term careers in public health.
- The program begins with two weeks of intense educational training in public health courses such as Public Health & Health Disparities, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Scientific Writing.
- Interns will culminate their experience by giving an oral poster presentation to their peers, mentors, and public health professionals and developing a research manuscript suitable for publication in a scientific journal.
- Interns will receive a stipend, lodging on the Morehouse College campus, course credit, and travel expenses to and from their city of origin.

WHO Internships
- The WHO Internship Program 2026 offers students and recent graduates a unique opportunity to contribute to global health initiatives while gaining valuable work experience in an international organization.
