Near the end of every semester, a college-wide evaluation instrument that is approved by the faculty is administered to students. Faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor, Visiting Assistant Professor, or Instructor are evaluated by students in every course each semester. Faculty who are tenured or promoted to Associate Professor without tenure are evaluated in at least one course each semester.
The faculty have voted to use IDEA as a student evaluation instrument. IDEA provides both summative and formative feedback about student progress on relevant learning objectives, instructor teaching methods, and overall impressions of the instructor and the course.
