Rhodes partners with three institutions to provide a second degree; Washington University in St. Louis, Christian Brothers University, and The University of Memphis. In all cases, financial aid from Rhodes does not transfer to the engineering school, but a student can apply for aid from that institution. In order to be admitted to the engineering institution, a student must meet certain criteria, as listed below.
A second bachelors degree can be obtained from Washington university and Christian Brothers University. A masters degree can be obtained from Washington University and The University of Memphis.
In order to pursue a dual degree path, a student must
- Complete all Rhodes foundations requirements in the three years at Rhodes
- Complete a set of pre-engineering core courses:
Mathematics 112 (if necessary), 122, 223, 251; Chemistry 120, 125; Physics 111, 112, 113, 114; Computer Science 141. - Choose a major at Rhodes that has been paired with the type of engineering desired for the engineering BS degree, and then complete the specified subset of major requirements in the three years at Rhodes. If the chosen major is not one that has been paired with a type of engineering, then the student must complete all Rhodes major requirements, including senior seminar.
