Director of SO&S
Alexa O’Hara, LMSW, is the Director of Student Outreach & Support. She has been at Rhodes since 2022. As the Director, she ensures that each student she works with receives personalized support tailored to their needs. Alexa plays a crucial role in handling Student Concern Referrals, guiding students to resources, assistance with facilitating college leaves and returns, and more. About Alexa:
Background: B.S. Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Masters Social Work from the University of Memphis
Experience: Alexa has worked in a number of different settings from residential and outpatient mental health services, family and children non-profits, and school settings.
Passion: Alexa has a passion for the intersection of social services and education. She enjoys promoting holistic wellness and helps students evaluate both mental and physical health supports. Alexa is deeply committed to student wellbeing and success.
Hobbies: Alexa is a life-long and proud Memphian! As such, she loves cheering on the Grizzlies, listening to Elvis, and enjoying all that the 901 has to offer. She enjoys spending time with her family, practicing self-care, listening to podcasts, and being a mom. Her favorite way to decompress is to unplug from devices and go for walks in nature while using all five senses.
