Qualifications

Students interested in becoming an SI Leader should:

  • Have earned a strong grade in the course they wish to support
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be dependable, professional, and motivated to help others
  • Receive a faculty recommendation

Our SI Leader hiring process is primarily based on faculty recommendations. If you're interested in serving as an SI Leader:

  1. Reach out to faculty members in courses where you have excelled.
  2. Discuss your interest and request a recommendation.
  3. Contact the Assistant Director of Academic and Learning Resources (SI Coordinator), Haeleah Lester to express your interest and learn about available opportunities.
