LEARNING AND STUDY STRATEGIES INVENTORY
Would you like to learn more about how you learn? Are you interested in achieving your academic goals but are not sure what to change and where to start?
The Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) can help.
WHAT IS THE LASSI?
The LASSI is a 10-scale, 60-item assessment of students’ awareness about and use of learning and study strategies related to the following components of strategic learning:
- Anxiety
- Attitude
- Concentration
- Information Processing
- Motivation
- Selecting Main Ideas
- Self-Testing
- Test Strategies
- Time Management and
- Using Academic Resources.
Research has shown that these factors contribute greatly to academic success in college. Your habits, behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs influencing these factors can be further enhanced or modified to increase your learning ability.
You have the opportunity to learn about your LASSI results, increase awareness of personal habits, and create goals for improvement.
