The wellness of our faculty and staff is very important to us. Although many of us are working remotely, there are numerous resources listed below that can assist the Rhodes College community as it strives for physical, mental, and financial wellness.

Mental and Physical Wellness Resources

  • Teladoc is accessible to all Rhodes College faculty and staff, even those who are not enrolled in the Rhodes College health plans. Telemedicine is a great way to receive medical care without physically visiting a doctor's office, which is particularly important during this time.                                                                                               
  • Are you considering reaching out to a mental health professional? Teladoc is now offering mental health services for our health care plan! This virtual service provides confidential treatment, flexible scheduling, and quick access to a therapist from anywhere. Additional information for this exciting new service can be found here.
  • Concern EAP  provides counseling services to all Rhodes College employees, their partners and members of their households at no charge. Concern can also refer you to a specialist if you need help beyond the scope of their practice. This service is free and confidential.  You may contact Concern 24/7 at (901) 458-4000.                 
  • TIAA provides helpful financial information through a wealth of articles and videos.

  • Has your sleeping schedule been impacted by the pandemic? The Sleep Foundation provides helpful discussion regarding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on sleeping habits and offers guidelines that can assist with sleeping well during this time.
  • If you are looking for activities to safely do during the pandemic, Memphis Travel provides information about local businesses, museums and restaurants that are open and implementing new policies to keep our community safe while celebrating what makes Memphis the special place it is.                                             
  • The National Park Foundation offers virtual tours and live webcams of numerous national parks, including Yellowstone National Park, Crater Lake National Park, and more. Although traveling is a bit more challenging now, virtual tours are an excellent way to "travel" while keeping ourselves and our communities healthy and safe.
