Staff Performance Evaluations

Here at Rhodes College, we believe our employees are the key to our students’ success. We strive to hire, develop, and retain the best employees. We encourage and support employees based on our philosophy of appreciating exceptional performance, and believe that feedback and performance management is an ongoing and daily process, not just an annual event.
Managers and employees conduct a formal annual performance evaluation each academic year. The purpose of this annual process is to promote communication between employees and managers, to provide an opportunity for constructive feedback, and to discuss upcoming performance goals and expectations.

2024-2025 Performance Evaluation Cycle

The 2024-2025 staff evaluation cycle begins April 1, 2025, and ends July 31, 2025. Rhodes staff whose position changed or new staff hired before October 1, 2024, are required to complete the evaluation process via Workday.
Prior to the performance cycle launching, position description revisions for the current fiscal year must be submitted to HR no later than March 3, 2025. This will allow enough time for revisions to be reviewed for approval and for HR to manually add changes in the system before the launch.
NOTE: Academic Affairs facilitates a separate process for faculty members. If you are a faculty member (i.e. department chair, etc.) who supervises current staff member(s) for whom an evaluation needs to be completed, you will be asked to complete evaluation(s) for the employee(s) you supervise.
