Leo Marchutz, "Christ in Temple"

"Christ in Temple" is oil on canvas and was presented to Rhodes College by the artist, Leo Marchutz, in 1969. Marchutz was a German-born painter and lithographer. He founded The Leo Marchutz School of Painting and Drawing. In 1969, he had an exhibition at the Memphis Brooks Museum, Rhodes College (then called Southwestern), and Idlewild Presbyterian Church.
