What is Workday Student?

Workday Student creates an intuitive, cloud-based, student-focused campus management system for students, faculty, and staff. This streamlined experience is social, mobile, and flexible.  Between application and graduation, Rhodes College students will use Workday Student to perform tasks like:

  • Update personal information
  • Register for, add or drop classes
  • View grades
  • Check real-time seat availability for courses
  • See financial aid awards
  • Generate professional-looking unofficial transcripts
  • Submit accommodation requests
  • Ask for overrides

As a modern platform for all student information, Workday Student meets Rhodes College’s needs for flexibility and growth. Information and communication are more accessible. Students will enjoy its mobile capabilities, alerts, and reminders.  And, faculty and staff will appreciate access to dashboards and reporting.

Rhodes College faculty will also use Workday Student to perform tasks like:

  • Find/view course schedules and information
  • Enter and edit grades

Ultimately, this fully integrated technology platform will improve consistency and streamline business processes to better support the educational mission of Rhodes College.

When will Workday Student be available to use?

Currently, system go-live is scheduled for spring of 2023.

When will there be training?

A variety of timely training experiences will be available before, during, and after Workday Student’s launch. Training will likely include in-person sessions and open labs, remote courses, step-by-step printed job aids, and self-paced video options. These will be mostly customized for users’ needs.

Why is Rhodes College moving to Workday Student?

The current student system cannot meet the challenges of today’s or tomorrow’s student needs.  Further, Workday Student not only complements the platform move Rhodes College made a few years back but also allows students to access their academic, personal, financial, and employment records in one place – from anywhere and at any time. Workday provides a functional, quicker, and more cost-effective enterprise system to help manage institutional business requirements.
