Medical Benefits Plan

The college offers four health plan options for eligible employees. Beginning July 1, 2024, all plans are administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee (BCBST).  See the following links for information about the plans.

The Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) is an easy to read document, in question & answer format.  It's a standardized form that makes it easier for you to compare plans between different employers.  The Benefits Summary documents contain the same information, but in a more condensed and non-standardized format.

Option 1 (Equivalent to Plan A) SBC Summary
Option 2 (Equivalent to Plan B) SBC Summary
Option 3 SBC Summary
Option 4 SBC Summary

To obtain the highest level of benefits for both plans you must use PPO providers. To locate a PPO provider, visit the BCBST website or view the document below.  Be sure to select the network that corresponds with your chosen plan.

Employees and dependents who are enrolled in the College health plans can register on the BCBST website and manage their benefits 24/7.  Click here to view a flyer with instructions on how to get started.  Once you are logged in you can view your own benefits, ask questions, request an ID card and even view your claims.

BCBST has provided several documents to help you make the most of your health insurance.  Click on the links below to view or download.
