Rhodes provides short-term disability leave to all 10 and 12 month staff employees who work at least 20 hours per week. Short-term disability provides up to five months of pay for qualified disability after the employee has exhausted all accrued sick and vacation leave.
Eligible employees earn short-term disability leave in proportion to the number of hours they normally work. An employee accumulates one month of leave for each full year of service. The lifetime maximum amount of short-term disability leave will not exceed five months.
